LISA DAROUX-COLE
Biography
*Dr. Lisa Daroux-Cole comes with over 19 years of being actively involved in exercise instruction (teaching and training), management, University lecturing, and research in the field of Kinesiology.*
Lisa completed her PhD in Health Science at Kingston University in 2015, her Masters at UofC in 2005, and BSc (UofC) in 1999, and is currently teaching undergraduate kinesiology and psychology at the University of Calgary.
Lisa has been teaching AFLCA courses since 2000 and has certified hundreds of fitneasters at UofC in 2005, and BSc (UofC) in 1999.
Education
Lisa is currently an undergraduate sessional instructor and adjunct to the Faculty of Kinesiology at UofC (kinesiology and psychology) and MRU (sport science). Previous to this, Lisa was a Senior Lecturer and Director of Exercise Nutrition and Health (BSc) at Kingston University, England.
Lisa co-created the *Exercise for Cancer: a course for Fitness Professionals*, and is currently creating an *Adapted Physical Activity course for Fitness Professionals*.
Lisa runs an *Adapted Physical Activity Program for Kids* at UofC (funded by Goodlife Foundation). She also runs Bootcamps and Strength Classes at Crestmont hall in Calgary. Lisa is available for personal training and lifestyle consulting.
