Foundations in physical activity and exercise initial exam

Take the Foundations in Physical Activity and Exercise initial exam when you have completed the course. A minimum of 80% is required.

Personal trainer initial exam

Write this exam if you have confirmed pre-approval from Fitness Alberta. Pre-approval is obtained by applying your education, or successfully completing the Personal Training online course.

Foundations in physical activity and exercise supplemental exam

To be eligible to write a supplemental certification exam, you must have completed an Initial certification exam and be within your certification deadline date.

Foundations in physical activity and exercise challenge exam

Take this exam if you have successfully challenged the foundations' course and you have received pre-approval from Fitness Alberta. A minimum grade of 80% is required for all Fitness Alberta exams.

Personal trainer supplemental exam

This is your second or third attempt at the personal trainer exam, and you must have completed your first exam attempt and be within your certification deadline date.
