Online Exams


All of our exams are offered online so you can write them from your own home at a time that works for you.  

Proctored, Secure exams

We have partnered with Yardstick Measure to deliver proctored, secure online exams. All exams are online to ensure access, security and ease for certification candidates.

Below are the requirements to register and write Fitness Alberta exams.

    System Requirements

    Before you register for your exam, please ensure that your system meets the minimum requirement.

    Eligibility Requirements

    To write an AFLCA exam you must have completed an AFLCA prerequisite or Certification Course and provide the course reference number from the course or have met our exam challenge requirements.

    Accommodations

    We are committed to accessibility, and can arrange online exam accommodations when required. Additional fees apply.

    Register and Schedule your exam

     

    You will need your certification course reference number or challenge documents and approval letter to register. 

    All registrations are verified by our office and once verified, you’ll receive an email from Yardstick Measure to schedule the date and time of your exam.

    Exam cancellation and rescheduling

    Cancellations and rescheduling require 48-hour notice, otherwise it’s a forfeit of the scheduled exam, booking and exam fees.

    To cancel, log into your candidate profile on Measure, view Exam Lists and select the option "Withdrawal."

    Time Frame Policy

    You have one year to complete your Fitness Alberta certification from the time you write your first Exercise Theory exam.
