Educator responsibilities
You are an ambassador for Fitness Alberta® and for professionalism in our industry. Candidates will leave your classes prepared to start leading fitness classes confidently, effectively and safely. Like you, they will have a significant impact, leading Albertans to live healthy, active lifestyles.
You may be asked questions about Fitness Alberta® certification. Please ensure that you are familiar with the certification process and requirements. You may also be asked questions about scope of practice, insurance and other elements of professional practice. If you do not know the answer to a candidate's question, please feel free to refer them to us at info@fitnessalberta.com.
Course administration
Please ensure the following administrative steps are completed as part of course delivery. This will help your participants to complete their exams, and submit their certification requirements in a timely manner.
-
1
Course roster
It's very important that you complete the course roster and send it to the Fitness Alberta office within 48 hours following completion of the course. The roster is the participant's verification that they have completed your course.
-
2
Course evaluation
Candidates' feedback helps us to improve our course content and maintain our standards. Please direct your participants to complete our online course evaluation form, once they have completed your course.
-
3
Pre-approved workshop CEC roster
If you have offered a pre-approved CEC workshop, it is important that you complete a CEC roster and send it to the Fitness Alberta office within 48 hours following completion of the course. The CEC roster is the participant's verification that they have completed your course, and will allow us to apply their continuing education credits to their profile.
